HERBAL CALCIUM
Calcium is the most abundant and the most important mineral in the body, and is also the mineral most likely to be deficient in the average diet. In humans and animals, calcium is the chief supportive element in bones and teeth. About 99 percent of the calcium is in the bones and teeth. The remaining 1 percent circulates in the bloodstream, where it performs a variety of important functions. It helps to contract muscles and helps regulate the contractions of the heart. Calcium significantly reduces heart attack risk. It plays a role in the transmission of nerve impulses and in the clotting of blood. It also regulates the secretion of various hormones and aids in the functioning of various enzymes within the body. When there is insufficient calcium there are hormones which transfer calcium from the bones to maintain the mineral''s all-important presence in the bloodstream.
The result of a mild insufficiency of calcium over the long term may be thinning bones (osteoporosis) or the softening of bony tissue (osteomalacia). Recent research points to calcium deficiency as being a possible cause of hypertension (high blood pressure) and of colon cancer. Severe deficiency can cause sensations of numbness and tingling around the mouth and fingertips and painful aches and spasms of the muscles. Leg cramps are one of the many conditions caused by low levels of calcium. Among the calcium depletors are aspirin, chocolate, stress, lack of exercise, mineral oil, high animal protein diet and table salt.
There is a tremendous amount of advertising to tell us we need milk to get our calcium and to avoid osteoporosis. As a matter of fact almost every thing that is taught in our schools concerning health, is provided by the dairy council whose sole purpose is advertising. But the highest incidence of osteoporosis occurs in the countries that drink a lot of milk. Finland has the highest rate of osteoporosis and also drinks the most milk, Sweden is second, the United Kingdom is third and the United States is fourth. In Africa and Asia, where they don''t drink much milk, they don''t know what osteoporosis is. Our problem is not how much calcium, but how it is being assimilated in the body. So if we can''t get the calcium we need from dairy products, where do we get them? From plants. Many herbs have up to ten calcium compounds, that we know of, and probably many more, as they are too complex to break down. In WISDOM 2000's HERBAL CALCIUM we have sought out the herbs with the highest amounts of calcium compounds and put them all into one formula. By combining different herbs we get a broader spectrum of calcium, which helps the body to assimilate the calcium.

EXPERIENCES BY USERS OF THIS HERBAL FORMULA:
"After my first baby, I got pains in the back of my neck and shoulders. My doctor said it could be a result of childbirth or arthritis. I tried supplements and drugs. I'd feel good for a while and then the pain would come back. No one seemed to know why. We got some new neighbors. The lady could see I was in pain and favored my shoulder. She said it could be a lack of calcium like her sister had. I told her I had taken prescribed calcium from the drug store and calcium supplements from the health food store. She asked if I had ever taken herbs. I looked at her doubtfully and said, 'Herbs?' She said 'Get some WISDOM 2000's HERBAL CALCIUM, lay off sweets and pop, and you might be as surprised as my sister was.' The next time I saw her she asked if I had taken the HERBAL CALCIUM. I purposely had not. She said, 'It's your backache.' Later that day I purchased some HERBAL CALCIUM. I took them for a week before I noticed any difference, but now, after a month, there's no more pain. It's a good thing I finally listened and acted upon my neighbor's advice."
"I thought a person didn't get a lot of charlie horses and cramps until he got old. I learned differently. Whenever I ran or played sorts there was a good chance I'd get a cramp of some sort. Sometimes I would even get a cramp in the night. At a lunch break at the office we were talking about running. I mentioned that I got charlie horses and cramps. A new girl that was a runner said it was calcium related. I told her that I drank milk and took vitamin supplements and drugs and medication, but nothing seemed to take care of it. She suggested that I take WISDOM 2000's HERBAL CALCIUM. She said,'Herbs assimilate much better than other forms of calcium.' I was skeptical, but I had tried everything else in vain. After a few days on HERBAL CALCIUM, I started to feel better. Now, after a few weeks, I feel great!" |
