QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Years ago gasoline had a very effective lubricant (lead) blended in from the factory. Lead lubricated the upper cylinder, the piston rings, the valve guides and stems and helped preserve the seals. When the fuel industry was forced to remove lead, they failed to replace it with a lubricating substance to protect those parts of the engine. The costly result is the fact that by burning unleaded fuel, either regular or premium, you are starving that part of your engine from lubrication. Using the Dyna-Lube Oil Concentrate alone can up to triple the life of the bottom part of your motor, but without the Fuel Concentrate the top end of your motor can go downhill fast, wear occurs, you experience emissions problems, less gas mileage and less horsepower.
Dyna-Fuel Concentrate is a concentrated blend of upper cylinder lubricants, cleaning agents and octane/cetane boosters. The combination of these elements effectively solves the starvation problem we are talking about and prolongs the life of this part of your engine. The Fuel Additive pays for itself in savings now and in a costly engine replacement later.
When using Dyna-Lube Fuel Additive, most cars can utilize the cost savings of regular unleaded instead of premium unleaded. Our research has found that regular unleaded fuel is a better base fuel than premium unleaded. By adding one or two ounces of Dyna-Lube Fuel Concentrate, you have the best fuel mixture for your car. You'll also notice increased performance, better fuel economy and smoother idling. The engine's valve guides, seals, upper cylinders, pistons and rings will last longer.
Question: Will Dyna-Lube Fuel Concentrate hurt my fuel system if I add too much?
Answer: It is recommended to use a two ounce per ten gallon ratio for the first 16 ounces and during cold weather. Following the first bottle, one ounce per ten gallons may be used. Many people find that using two to four ounces is ideal for their particular vehicle needs.
Question: Should you add the Fuel Concentrate before or after you fill up?
Answer: It will mix with the gasoline faster if you add it before filling up.
Question: Some people say they didn't notice any improvement in miles per gallon, horsepower, etc. until after using 30 or more ounces of Dyna-Lube Fuel Concentrate. Why did it take so long?
Answer #1: With some cars, it takes a couple of treatments to clean out the carbon deposits before an increase in performance will be noticed.
Answer #2: Many people do not know that the fuel filter should be changed every 30,000 miles. If your car has exceeded this change interval and you add the cleaning power of Dyna-Lube's Fuel Additive, it is most likely that the fuel filter has been clogged, thus starving your engine for gas.
Question: What is the correct way of checking your miles per gallon?
Answer: You need to have accurate, up-to-date records of all gasoline or diesel fuel used. Also, consider getting a tuneup before you begin your testing. A recent report noted that four out of five cars on the road today are in need of a tuneup or engine work. The correct way to check your mileage is:
1. Fill the tank completely full. Wait two or three minutes to see if the gas level goes down because an air bubble existed. (Rocking the vehicle gently will usually eliminate trapped air bubbles). Then keep clicking the pump level until you can see the gasoline in the neck of the filler.
2. It is most important to duplicate exactly the conditions in which you make your test: (A) Drive on the same stretch of highway in the same traffic and weather. (B) Be certain your tires are inflated to the same air pressure on each test. (C) Don't leave windows open on one test and closed on the next test. Open windows increase drag. (D) Make sure the air conditioner or heater is on or off for each test. (E) Have the same number or weight of passengers in the vehicle in each test. (F) Duplicate the speed of the vehicle as closely as possible in each test.
3. Do not fill your tank in the heat of the day, run your test, then refill the tank when the temperature is cooler. Gasoline expands when hot. Refilling when temperature is lower will allow the tank to hold more fuel, throwing off the accuracy of your test.
4. Use exactly the same brand and grade of gasoline or diesel fuel.
5. Be sure to schedule your test when the air temperature and humidity are approximately the same. These factors can make a big difference in your mileage.
